There are three ways to start a build. In each case, describe the outcome; the agent loads the matching skill and asks for what it still needs.
From a prompt or a brief
Use this when the site exists in your head or in a document. There are two ways in.
Paste or upload a brief. If you have a client brief, drop it into the chat. The agent extracts the brand, the structure, and the section list, and asks about anything the brief leaves open.
“Here is the client brief: {paste or attach it}. Build the site from it. Ask me before deciding anything the brief does not cover.”
Or prompt your way. Describe the outcome directly, with as much or as little detail as you have. More detail means fewer questions from the agent.
“Build a homepage for {business}, a {what it does} in {city}. Friendly but professional. Sections: hero with one clear call to action, three services, testimonials, contact.”
From a live URL
Use this to migrate or take inspiration from an existing site. The agent needs a browser tool (a browser MCP) to view the page. Say how close the copy should be and what to leave out.
“Look at {url} and rebuild its structure here: same sections, same hierarchy. Match the layout closely, but use our design tokens instead of their colors.”
“Recreate {url} as closely as you can, except the popups and the cookie banner. Copy the text as-is; we own this site.”
From a screenshot or mockup
Use this with a design file, a Figma export, or a screenshot of something you like. Tell the agent which parts are design and which parts are example content.
“Here is a mockup of the homepage. Build it exactly. The photos are placeholders; the text is final.”
“This screenshot shows the layout I want for the services section. Rebuild the structure with our own content and tokens.”
After the first pass
